I'm a Korean American licensed psychotherapist (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and have been in practice for 25+ years. I’ve worked with clients coping with a variety of issues from grief and loss, life transitions, cultural/racial issues and identity, anxiety, depression, family conflict and have also served as an International Mental Health Consultant with our Active Duty Service-members and their families throughout Europe, Asia and the U.S.
Everyone has the right to live their authentic lives without judgement, punishment, or fear for their safety. Let's explore what challenges you may be facing in a safe, accepting environment. It will be a privilege to hear your story and assist you in your healing journey through the lens of culturally affirming, responsive care.
A Note About Insurance:
I am contracted with Blue Cross. If you have any other insurance plan, you can work directly with your insurance company to receive reimbursement. A monthly insurance ready “Superbill” (receipt) can be provided upon request for that purpose. You will then submit the Superbill to your insurance provider if your plan offers "out-of-network" reimbursement. If you decide to move forward with your out-of-network benefits please do the following:
Check with your insurance provider to verify the details of your out-of-network coverage including reimbursement rate for behavioral/mental services and deductible information. Your services may or may not be covered in full. You will be responsible to pay for full therapy fees at each session.
Tips On What to Ask Your PPO/POS Insurance Provider:
• Do I have “out-of-network” behavioral/mental health insurance benefits?
• What is the “allowed amount” per session and the reimbursement rate (percentage) per therapy session I will be reimbursed for psychotherapy?
• What is my deductible and has it been met? Can deductibles be met with out-of-network behavioral/mental health appointments?
• Are tele-health psychotherapy sessions covered in my out-of-network plan?
• How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
• Is approval required from my primary care physician?
• How do I submit my claim?
• How will I be reimbursed?
Additional note: Unfortunately I do not accept Medicaid/Medi-cal or Medicare.
